The Elements of Worship II – Pastor Joseph Ice

During the evening session of Day 2 of the Worship Conference, Pastor Joseph Ice continued exploring the profound topic of the Elements of Worship, with a deep focus on the themes of Reverence and Service.

Pastor Ice emphasized that one of the most crucial ways to preserve the moves of God across generations is through consistent and faithful teaching. This is how the essence of worship is passed on and sustained.

Reverence (Hebrews 12:28) – “God is Not Your Mate”:
Pastor Ice admonished that reverence for God is non-negotiable. Worship isn’t something to be done merely when convenient; it should permeate every aspect of our lives, even our imaginations. He reminded the congregation that God is not our equal; therefore, He should be approached with the utmost respect and honor.

Service:
Addressing the importance of service, Pastor Ice pointed out that setting yourself against another person is equivalent to setting yourself against God. The righteousness of individuals impacts the well-being of their city, making the presence of righteous people a blessing. Worship, he said, is not just an event but the totality of a person’s life. Every action should be performed with thoughtfulness and care, reflecting our devotion to God.

Pastor Ice concluded by stating that embracing what God does for us is the best form of worship we can offer Him. He also cautioned that believers should avoid places where they cannot freely pray, as our environments should always be conducive to worship.
