Topic: The Local Church
Minister: Pastor Kristy Joseph
– Church is derived from the Greek word Ekklēsı́a which means to Assemble. (Ephesians 4:14-15)
– Church is a universal family that exists in two locations; the heavens and the earth.
– Church consists of believers from the past, present and future who belong to Christ.
(Ephesians 3:14 – 15 AMP)
– Church is a family with Christ as the firstborn and us as the remaining children.
– The earthly family is the Local Church. That is for the believers that exist on earth.
– Every believer is supposed to be part of the local church. You cannot be a born-again Christian, claim to be a member of the universal church and not get a member of a local church.
– God created the Local Church for a reason.
(Hebrews 10:25)
– There are things that God wants to give to us in a Local Church but we miss out on them when we don’t assemble.
