  • The Power and Blessings of Commitment – Pastor Fred Zamani

The evening session of Day 4 Commitment is a crucial aspect of spiritual growth and service in the kingdom of God. Pastor Fred Zamani emphasized how a lack of commitment hinders blessings and spiritual progress. He highlighted five key reasons people struggle with commitment and the benefits of dedicated service to the Church.

Hindrances to Commitment

  1. Lack of Knowledge (Hos 4:6)
    • Knowledge is powerful and grants access to divine favor.
    • Without knowledge, one cannot fully experience the benefits of commitment.
  2. Negative Influence (1 Corinthians 15:33)
    • Associating with the wrong people can derail one’s spiritual journey.
    • True service to the anointed brings tangible rewards.
  3. Unnecessary Excuses (Luke 9:59-62)
    • Many fail to commit due to misplaced priorities and distractions.
  4. Lack of Maturity (1 Corinthians 14:20)
    • Spiritual maturity is demonstrated through self-control, particularly in speech.
  5. Double Standards (James 1:8)
    • A wavering heart leads to inconsistency in service and spiritual stagnation.

Benefits of Serving in the Church

  1. Intangible Blessings (Exodus 23:25)
    • Service attracts divine favor and blessings.
  2. Spiritual Growth (Ephesians 4:13-15)
    • Commitment leads to spiritual maturity and a deeper relationship with God.
  3. Divine Protection (Isaiah 54:17)
    • Serving in God’s house provides a shield against adversity.
    • Understanding God’s timing is crucial when serving.
  4. Progress (1 Corinthians 15:58, 1 Timothy 4:15)
    • Service creates opportunities for personal and spiritual development.
    • Lessons learned through service grant access to wisdom and growth.

Expectations for 2025

  1. Increased Commitment to Church Activities
  2. Greater Participation in Ministry and Service
  3. Numerical Growth of the Church
  4. Improved Quality of Service Delivery

Pastor Zamani concluded by emphasizing the importance of discipline in speech, reminding believers: “If you don’t know what to say, close your mouth.” True commitment requires wisdom, dedication, and a heart fully given to God’s service.
