KBC Day 2 (Evening Session): The Prophetic Backpack of the Believer
Speaker: Pastor Segun Alemede
Text: Ezra 5, 2 Chronicles 20:20, 1 Thessalonians 5:16
The evening session of KBC Day 2 was a deep dive into the prophetic life of a believer. Pastor Segun Alemede emphasized that prophecy is an essential tool in our walk of faith, likening it to a “backpack” that must be carried with intentionality.
Key Insights from the Session:
- Always regard your prophet as a prophet – Honor and recognize the prophetic voice in your life.
- Faith and prophecy go hand in hand – Walking by faith means referencing prophecy.
- Faith is rooted in the Word – You can’t have faith outside of what God has spoken.
- The good fight of faith involves prophecy – Engaging in spiritual warfare requires the proper use of prophecy.
- Lay hold on prophecy – Don’t let go of the words spoken over your life.
- The Word of God is always effective – If it seems like it’s not working, it’s because you’re not working it.
Three Key Responsibilities of a Believer:
- Carry your prophet along – Stay connected to the prophetic voice that speaks into your life.
- Carry your prophecy to prayer – Prophecies must be activated through prayer.
- Carry yourself into prophecy – Step into the reality of your prophetic word with faith and action.
Final Thoughts:
Your mind plays a crucial role in the manifestation of prophecy. Where your mind goes, your body will follow. If your thoughts are constricted, your prophetic fulfillment may also be delayed. Step boldly into prophecy—let the world see that you are ready for what God has spoken over your life.
